Time is flying! Today marks exactly one month until Marathon Monday!!! I CAN’T WAIT! Here’s a quick recap of the last few weeks:
Fundraising & Training
My fundraising has been going great! Thanks to all of you generous people, so far, I have raised a whopping $11,535 for The National Organization of Rare Disorders. That’s almost halfway to my goal of $26,200! Please continue to spread the word – I really hope we raise enough this year to fund a research grant for HCU!!! Here’s the link to my fundraising page if you’d like to make a donation: DONATE HERE!
Training is going well despite a lingering knee injury. I fit in a few races this month. Here’s a few photos from the St. Patrick’s Day 8K & the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon:
Speaking of fundraising & rock ‘n’ roll, mark your calendars for Friday, April 11th! I will be hosting a fundraiser at Flanagan’s Harp & Fiddle in Bethesda, MD with live music courtesy of my friend Sean Chyun’s band, the DCeivers; a raffle, food & drink specials, and more…details to follow soon.
Online Silent Auction
I’m also seeking items for the Running for Rare Diseases Team’s online silent auction such as gift certificates, wine baskets, sports/concert/event/theater tickets, vacation home rentals, artwork, jewelry, golf packages, ect… 100% of proceeds raised by the silent auction will be donated to the National Organization of Rare Disorders. Donations to the silent auction are tax deductible, and anything donated through me will go towards my fundraising goal for the 2014 Boston Marathon. Please contact me via email if you’re able to help with a donation to the silent auction!
